Is the GS Discount Still Real?
Heard that GS analysts got insanely high bonuses (top of the street apart from EVC / CVP). Does that mean GS discount no longer exists? Will it be the same for associates / VPs and above?

Exists at the associate level to a significant degree despite their jaw boning to the contrary. Bonkers imo. I’m supposed to give up ~150-250k during a 3 year period for a marginally better “brand” ? I’m 29, No thanks

Noone knows until associate / VP comp in the spring
Not if you're first year associate who's still on mid year cycle (yes GS does that), so the payout was in Aug

That is exactly the right question. Knowing GS and how they consistently screw their workforce it very likely was.
mba class of 2020 associate base salaries - EVR: $200k, MS/JPM: $175k, GS: $150. Yeah, the discount still exists.
GS will eventually raise to 175k right? An2 125 and Aso1 150 makes no sense
