Is the "Training Week" actually useful?

Incoming SA at a BB here. I keep hearing mixed advice. HR and recruiting tell me don't study, enjoy your senior spring, we teach you everything in training week. But my friends who interned last year said training was basically just compliance PowerPoint decks and generic accounting lectures, and they felt totally lost when they actually hit the desk.

If you can study you deffo should, you won’t really lose out anything if anything you’ll get to solidify your understanding on a couple things, make that learning curve a bit easier and help get FT offer.

training week = get drunk with your analyst class after zoning out during every compliance deck, barely make it back to your shoebox apartment at 2am, and drag yourself out of bed and do it all over again the next day. Also, HR and recruiting aren't wrong. Go get a life and enjoy senior spring. You'll get thrown right into the fire after training week and learn the way your group does things.
