Is there any alternative to JobTestPrep? LDN Spring Weeks 2026

Will be applying for SW2026. I have understood that online assessments are a pretty central part of the process. Now, most people in the years above me say that they used JobTestPrep to prep, but that it is meh (expensive and pretty shit). I have tried it a bit on my older brother's account, and jeez, it is bad. So 2 questions:

  1. How did you guys prepare for assesments?
  2. Is there really not anything else out there?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here’s what you need to know:

For online assessments, JobTestPrep is often mentioned, but many users share your sentiment that it’s not worth the cost. Instead, there are free or alternative resources you can leverage:

  1. Free Resources:

    • Platforms like r/financialcareers or WSO forums often have threads where users share tips, strategies, and even practice materials for online assessments. Asking the right questions in these communities can yield valuable insights.
    • Networking with peers or alumni who have gone through the process can also help you access shared resources or advice.
  2. Practice Tests:

    • Some users recommend looking for free practice tests online. Many companies use standardized tests (e.g., SHL, Pymetrics), and you can find free versions or similar practice tests with a quick search.
  3. Self-Study:

    • Focus on improving your skills in areas commonly tested, such as numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning, and situational judgment. There are free guides and YouTube tutorials that can help you sharpen these skills.
  4. Avoid Paid Services:

    • As highlighted in WSO threads, paying for services like CV writing, mentoring, or masterclasses is generally not worth it. The same advice and resources are often available for free if you know where to look.

If you’re looking for a structured approach, consider combining free resources with networking and self-study to prepare effectively without spending unnecessarily.
