IU Kelley Debt

Would it be worth going approximately 160K in debt to a attend a school such as IU Kelley, or would it be better to attend a state school (such as SUNY Binghamton) for the first year and attempt to transfer to a better ranked school? Would having a 33 on the act help?

Kelley, although a great school, is most definitely not worth 160k in debt. That’s absolutely ludicrous for Indiana. I transferred to another similar big 10 state school after a year in Community college and will have no debt when I graduate. Have the same BB IB offer as all the kids who are going into debt. If you can avoid community college obviously avoid it but 160k for Indiana would be insane.

If you have a 33 on the ACT, you are getting enough scholarships where your $160K number is wildly high.
