Jefferies Technology group Info

Does anyone have insight about the Jefferies Technology group in terms of 1) culture 2) Hours (Have heard it's a pretty tough place). In addition, is it true that they fire analysts right before bonuses? Any insight into the clawbacks would be great too. Thank you in advance.

You friend is not a unique example, many did the same during last a few months

Wow one month - can you please elaborate about the factors that drove the decision (can messsage directly if you prefer)

Is Jefferies comparable at all to some of the EBs? I'm looking at PJTs transactions on their site, yes they are huge but in terms of experience, comparable? Comp that different? Work/life cant be "better" at those top EBs

Would anyone strongly recommend an EB over Jefferies putting prestige aside? Does anyone stay at EBs for the long run? Jefferies has a bunch of SVPs/VPs who have been there for years.

All coming from an Associate perspective.

Have some friends that went through the recruiting process with them at the ASO level. Jefferies is an interesting firm because they're pretty old-school/aggressive in their approach. I think there's an element of truth to that as well. I remember reading a comment on here from another thread that described Jefferies as "the closest you'll get to the DLJ/Monkey Business type experience."
