Both NYC? Don't know much about Jeff industrials. Know their tech and healthcare groups are insane. Most groups are good at Jeff though. On average, you'll be working on larger deals at Jeff than CG. CG does pretty well in tech M&A, especially in MM. They're on a lot of tech IPOs too. Personally, I'd go Jeff since it's a better platform, but it really depends on your interests of industrials vs tech.

You could prolly internally lateral to tech at Jeff if you don't like industrials, so keep that in mind as an option too. CG pays insanely well based on its comp survey last year, but I don't know if it will sustain that. Culture is also really good at CG. Know someone who works there, and he says the WLB is great. Jeff, on the other hand, is known for sweating hard. Since it seems like you want to be in banking long term instead of out to PE, it's a little bit of a tougher decision. CG has great culture and pay but works on smaller deals. Jeff can have a tougher culture at times but a lot of people are great. WLB is tough at Jeff though, but you'll work on larger deals.

will considering PE recruting in the associate stage change depending on the firm? i am asusming jeff might be better for recruiting. but i am also not sure if that's what i want long term

Congratulations on both offers. Two things I would really consider. First, they are two completely different industries. I would say to go with the one that you are genuinely interested in. Second, did you vibe with the people at either bank better? At the end of they day, you will be working a lot with them, so it is a key factor to consider.

Depends where.

Industrials in Jef London is trash.

CG in London have a huge understaffed problem.

If US then would expect Jef to have more options for the future but its not a great culture and most colleagues are dickheads.

Sponsors M&A (London)

do u really think jeff is actually an EB in london? would that be the case in the US if they didnt have a BS
