Job Decision - Two job offers

Hey everyone, I'd appreciate a hand with a decision between two job offers in either Big 4 corporate finance or with the Corporate Development M&A group for a Fortune 500 Company. I'm a recently laid off mm ib analyst with around a years experience (a story I'm sure everyone has heard). The CF group specializes in Cross Border M&A and capital sourcing and the Corp. Development position falls under the treasury group as a part of the M&A team for a company in a dying industry that does a few acquisitions a year. Aside from pay and hours which will be more for big 4 cf, which position will provide better experience and future opportunities. Timely advice would be a be a great deal of help.

Just my opinion, but from the way you briefly described both positions, it sounds like the Fortune 500 company (which I was initially leaning towards) sounds like it would be more routine, and, almost boring, while the CF position offers more money and offers multi-national experiences. Off the cuff, I would say the Fortune 500 sounded very interesting, but, my question was going to be, just how active are they in the field. After seeing your next few lines (you essentially answered my question), it seems like you'll work a few more hours, get paid a few more $, but overall learn a good bit more from the CF position. If the Fortune 500 was a mover and shaker, or showed a strong interest, or was even part of a growing industry where they are a strong player, then I'd have to seriously consider changing my opinion. But, dieing industry, routine, maybe a few deals a year, but realistically, probably less than that, I'd say you are better off with the CF. Again, just my opinion, and best of luck either way.
