Joining leading DCM HY Bond Team - work stream to expect / opps?

Hi guys,

Been working for a BB (ECM and M&A) around 1,5 years and now lateraling to another bank (#1 within the region in DCM HY Bonds). One reason why I make this move is to avoid burnout which I already feel closer every day (been brutal hours), but still remain in banking and get some rest as I know DCM hours are usually more chill.

What will the work stream look like compared to previous ECM/M&A experience and what will be the main differences?

Also, will this significantly decrease my chances of later moving to the buy side? Planing to do DCM for 1,5 years to get total of 3 years within IB and then move. I know I will miss out a lot of modeling but will practice this when I have time simultaneously and also already have some experience (closed 3 major deals) at my former BB bank.

Thanks!
