JP Morgan Cazenove

Anybody have insight on JPM Cazenove as it is today, 2 years after it was fully acquired by JPM?

It has been integrated within JP for two years, so do any differences remain between the two?

any info pertaining to culture, deals etc.?

thanks guys

No idea what this guy is on about.

Yes JPM Cazenove are extremely strong in the UK. Word around the city is that for every pound raised in the rush of equity raisings over 2009, JPM Caz raised over 70p of it. Something like 40 of the FTSE 100 are broking clients as well.

All there teams are very strong but if I was picking a couple I would say Real Estate, FIG and TMT.

Bare in mind though that it has a strong 'boutique' feel and some of the teams are very small (7 people or so). Depends if you like that kind of thing.

Yes JPM will probably buy out the JV (see all the news on it today) but IMO not that much will change operationally for a while.

As BBBer said, JPMCaz are very strong in the UK. Them and UBS (former Warburg bankers) are the two dominant corporate brokers and hold about 80% of the FTSE 100 clients.

JPM Europe and JPMC operate out of different buildings and from what I hear there isn't much cross-staffing. So if you do join JPMC you'll only work on UK deals - and because of it's specialisation, the teams are very small. Although I doubt that JPM holds 70% of the UK ECM market, more likely that they participated on 70/100p deals.

__________ Just my 2c.
