To crush your JP Morgan SA 2026 MMBSI Superday, here's a focused game plan based on the most helpful WSO content:

1. Technical Prep

  • Core Concepts: Ensure you have a solid grasp of fundamental finance topics like DCF, PE ratio, and bond price vs. yield relationships. These are often considered "Finance 101" and are essential.
  • Resume Mastery: Be ready to explain every bullet point on your resume. Know your internships, projects, and deal experience inside out. Rehearse answers out loud and anticipate follow-up questions.
  • Valuation Methodologies: Understand the basics of valuation methods (DCF, comps, precedent transactions). While MMBSI may not dive as deep as IB, having this knowledge is crucial.
  • Market Trends: Be prepared to discuss M&A trends, industry trends, and capital markets trends. This shows your awareness of the broader financial landscape.
  • Case Study: For the case study, focus on analyzing financial statements, identifying key metrics, and making logical recommendations. Practice structuring your thoughts clearly and concisely.

2. Behavioral Prep

  • Storytelling: Develop a few compelling stories about challenges you've faced, problems you've solved, and people you've helped. These should highlight your skills, teamwork, and leadership.
  • Why JPM/MMBSI?: Be ready to articulate why you're interested in JP Morgan and the MMBSI group specifically. Research recent deals or initiatives by the group to show genuine interest.
  • Strengths & Weaknesses: Prepare to discuss your strengths and weaknesses, especially in the context of your internships, projects, or clubs.

3. Superday Format

  • Interviews: Expect multiple interviews, each lasting 30-45 minutes. These will likely include:
    • Behavioral Questions: Focused on your background, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Technical Questions: Testing your finance knowledge and ability to think critically.
    • Situational/Conceptual Questions: Based on your resume and experiences.
  • Lunch/Networking: If there's a lunch component, treat it as part of the interview. Be professional and personable.

4. Case Study Prep

  • Structure Your Approach: Break down the case into clear sections (e.g., problem identification, analysis, recommendation).
  • Practice: Use resources like the WSO Behavioral Guide and M&I 400 Questions Guide to simulate case studies.
  • Time Management: Practice working under time constraints to simulate the real Superday environment.

5. Additional Tips

  • Firm-Specific Knowledge: Research JP Morgan's recent deals, initiatives, and achievements. This will help you stand out.
  • Networking: Keep up your networking efforts. Insights from current employees can provide valuable tips and boost your confidence.
  • Mock Interviews: Schedule mock interviews to refine your answers and get feedback.

With 12 days to go, focus on mastering technicals, refining your behavioral stories, and practicing case studies. Good luck—you’ve got this!
