Wondering how long their background check takes/what the process entails.
Or is submitting SSN (before the offer letter) enough for them to run the bg check?

You’ll be asked to populate a form with your previous addresses, employers, etc to initiate the background check. Took me about 1-1.5 months to get the confirmation that my background check was complete.
Is that about normal for how long it takes? HR told me it should take 5-10 business days but I was just trying to figure out when to hand in my 2 weeks.
Were you able to start before it was complete or you had to wait?
In a similar situation, I will be starting at a MM. Supposedly the check should only take 10 days, but rn I'm on week 3 of waiting. I'm playing it safe and waiting for my background check to clear before I put in my 2 weeks.
Was it HireRight or BIG? I've heard BIG is a lot faster.
