Hey everyone - wondering if anyone can shed light on what the analyst experience is like at JPM Chicago now in terms of culture, exit ops, etc. Hearing about a mass exodus in senior talent (at least in M&A) and wondering if the office is still a decent spot for an analyst stint.

Hey there! Based on the most helpful WSO content, it seems that experiences can vary quite a bit depending on the specific team and senior people you work with. However, I don't have specific information about the current situation at JPM Chicago in 2023.
In general, JPM is known for its strong platform, brand name, and experience. It also offers a voluntary rotation program after 18 months in other groups and a global mobile program to change offices between your third and sixth year. These could be great opportunities for broadening your experience and networking within the firm.
As for exit opportunities, it seems to vary quite a bit. Some people lateral to other parts of JPM, while others join family offices. Breaking into PE from JPM is possible, but it seems to be quite challenging and may require a lot of effort.
Remember, culture can be highly dependent on the senior people you work with. Some people enjoy it, while others may not. It's always a good idea to try and connect with current or former employees to get a more accurate picture of the culture.
