Not a bad group necessarily, but any reputable deal will be taken away by the respective coverage group, so limits your opportunity. Never understand why people want to do MM at a BB, but if you were to do it, JPM probably has one of the better

Basically does M&A and coverage for companies upto ~$3 - 5B of EV. Recently advised on columbus mckinnon ($2.7B) and has multiple $1 - 2B+ active mandates in market but also smaller ones too. Group used to be generalist like GS Cross Markets and tends to see them as the main comp.

Group has changed alot with sectors being more and more integrated with traditional coverage groups (e.g. Healthcare is super integrated with traditional HC coverage and deals team are mixed with AN / ASO being from either group and ED / MD for both groups). From recent years, looks like exits have become v good (someone went to CD&R, Advent etc.)

Also recently brought in a host of folks from EBs like PWP, PJT, EVR to the group to help build more verticals (e.g. emerging technology etc.)

I got an offer on Thursday and know someone who got an offer on Friday. Not sure if they have another spot.

Spoke to someone there who was SA24 and is returning full time, seemed like he really loved it, even over BB/EB, and seems like a pretty legit group
