By far the most influential bank to raise comp. Definitely enough for the rest of the BBs to follow. In the meantime, I see plenty of GS/MS kids going with JPM offers with virtually the same dealflow/prestige/exit ops and it makes it all the more desirable to bankers elsewhere.

Also main drivers of revenue and profits for CIB over the past year— we always got the same base so idk whu it's different. IB prospects clearly think they're all that matters lol

Markets had a call today. There won't be any salary increase until August at the earliest where it may be decided at the town hall. It also may be decided at the beginning of next year. The Markets banking teams don't get the same love, even though during covid and now have probably worked more than coverage bankers.
