JPM vs. rothschild vs. GS
thoughts? this is for an SA position, all IBD in NY. which would offer highest chance of full-time conversion? also, best groups in each?

I would have to go with GS.........................As a fellow male i would have to advise you to change your WSO handle. LOVE ACTUALLY???? come on man.
Depends on what you want. Rothschild is a pure advisory house, while others mentioned are large balance sheet banks.
GS have a notoriously ow conversion rate, so you may want to take that into the account when making your decision. I would still take GS over the three other banks because with a GS brand name on my CV I would be able to get into pretty much any other bank.
Just my 2c.
what is the conversion rate for JPM?
JPM groups in IBD NY converted approximately 2/3 of the interns. Some groups are better than others, obviously. GS is taking a risk; a resume with a JPM offer (vs. a GS non-offer) gives you a better chance of re-recruiting in the fall.
I agree with Classic. I have a friend who was in the same situation as you last year. He chose JPM, worked his ass off, got an offer and accepted it. GS is a great name to put on your resume, but a slightly lower chance you will receive a FT offer, and Rothschild is below both of these firms. I would go JPM, GS, Rothschild as my order.
JPM definitely. When'd you hear back from JPM by the way? But they are three different firms, especially in comparison to an advisory boutique.
