Korean Students Getting Internships At Big Name Firms (Lazard, BCG, etc...) Their Freshman Year
Going on LinkedIn, many Korean students get internships at big-name firms their freshman year, such as McKinsey and Lazard their freshman year summer in Seoul specifically.
Although they are most likely nepo, how are they able to attain these internships in their freshman year, especially when many of them do not have prior internships, if they were able to get it legitimately?
grit
.
Do you know where I can apply to these roles? Do I need to network?
All nepo. The Korean int’l students who study in the US are very well off and 90% of them come from one of these three international high schools in Seoul: Seoul Foreign School, Korea International School, Seoul International School.
Only ppl whose family have money can attend these schools and they’re all well connected. Most of these kids’ parents are politicians or business executives or some high level position in banking or consulting. Source: I’m one of these kids lmao
I think i know you did you go to sis and nyu?
No to both lol
This is the trend in every asian city. Kids who go to top us schools are loaded from the same old schools.
Korea is a nepotistic hellhole
You just answered your own question: nepotism.
