Lateral Analyst Expectations

I'm curious if anyone can provide insight regarding what is normally expected from lateral analysts coming from a small boutique to a MM bank (or anyone that went MM to BB, etc.). Recently was offered a lateral AN2 position at a MM bank (non NYC) coming from a generalist boutique with approximately 25 people. Much of my first year wasn't focused on modeling or any of the more technical tasks that seems to be done as a first year. It focused mainly on all of the other tasks (spreading comps, pitch decks, CIMs, running VDRs, etc.). I'd consider myself having some knowledge around modeling and other technical deliverables, but not close to an expert...

Feeling like there should be people who went through a similar path over the last year with this market.

Thanks in advance.
