Lateral Maxxing
Hey guys! I am a senior heading to a shop people would recognize and it's one of decent ones within the PUI space. After interning over the summer, I know for a fact I want to dive into the digital infra space, so I started researching for the top tier brand names with a presence in the space. Names like: Lazard's digital infra group, EVR/PJT/JPM/GS/MS media & comms.
The problem is I don't know anyone at these teams, and I want to start making connections before I try to lateral in my first year as an analyst in my current bank. I am am trying to brainstorm ways to start building a network here without coming off as a senior trying to quit on his group before even starting the job. Any ideas/advice much appreciated.
TLDR: Senior trying to build connections in the digital infra space in order to lateral, and not come off as trying to quit before even starting the job at current shop.
