Lateraling from Jefferies

Is lateraling from a smaller Jefferies office (Atlanta / Charlotte / Dallas) fairly easy? I accepted an offer at one of these offices and am thinking of potentially trying to lateral to a BB after a year or two. Is this viable?

You'll be good for lateraling. All 4 JEF CLT offices are pretty strong in terms of deal flow, and obviously also carry the JEF name. If you choose to lateral your resume will have no problem getting looks at assuming you network and prep. The biggest limitation of location is logistics for interviewing and having a solid story for why you're looking to switch locations and banks.

Going to assume this is CLT. Pretty solid place honestly all the groups there are strong (Consumer, RE, Aerospace). Would be easiest to just move to a top Jefferies NY group after 2 years (HC, LevFin, M&A) shouldn't be an issue especially if you want to go product since you'll work with those teams anyways. If you really want to go BB NY for whatever reason will be totally doable as well.
