Lateraling in under a year to IB

Hi all - I joined a BB in a quasi-banking seat (specifically ABS/MBS originations) at a top 3 BB in the space. Love my team, love the culture, but don't necessarily love the product. I have had several headhunters reach out via LinkedIn asking if I am interested in other banking opportunities, albeit at "lesser" BB banks (still very reputable). Would it be inappropriate to pursue this given I have been in my role for 6-10 months?

I fully comprehend that your only loyalty should be to yourself, as a bank will fire you in a heartbeat, but (and maybe this is naive of me) I do feel loyalty to my team that gave me an offer, trained me, and have treated me with the utmost respect (which does not happen everywhere).

My longer term interest is in corporate side IB, not securitized products banking (I just don't get excited about the product as I thought I would, while working with corporate issuers interests me more).

Any thoughts on people who were in similar positions would be much appreciated, and if anyone has any context as to if this would "look poorly" to leave a top BB after under a year, even if that means pursuing something that you want to do.

P.S. anyone ever do lateral interviews from a similar seat as mine? how different were they than college interviews (i.e. mix of technicals vs. behaviorals)? I have my story well crafted, and while I do have the Series 79, definitely need to refresh on a LOT of technicals.

Thanks in advance everyone :)
