Lateraling Less Than 3 Months In?
Was fortunate to find an IB analyst job in this market at a regional boutique, but have seen postings for full time roles - was wondering if it would be poor practice to apply and try to network to see if other roles would be possible so early in?

Be selfish as IB these days wouldn’t put another thought if they didn’t need you any further
If you have time and want to move then do it. The reality is that your process and start date would still be likely 3 months out so it’s easier to frame on a resume.
Where do you see openings?
Regional boutique's won't be able to lateral in this environment. I have friends in BBs and EBs who are trying to bounce and finding it difficult.
