I think it depends what group you're in. If you're actually in M&A and have deal experience, then I think you'll do fine. But why leave brother? Wells Fargo is paradise.
Really depends on where you're trying to go. If you want KKR or Thoma Bravo or something like that it'd probably be tough. If you want a smaller firm that is focused in something a bit more niche that you have experience in, then probably not so hard.
