Man...quite general...cant speak of the US...but in Europe major offices are known (as well as the company as a whole) to pay intern/analysts small amounts and treat them badly in general...
Reputation is quite strong. One of the best EBs and a top bank in general. Probably the most well-know EB outside of finance circles. Very strong deal flow. Culture is group-dependent, but has improved dramatically since the 2000s. Friend in the New York office thinks it’s great. Comp on par with other boutiques.
Comp is basically street (less than CV about same as MO/EVR/PWP). Typically known as 1b-2a type M&A firm with top tier RX creds. Overall good shop across industries.
Laz has stepped up its bonus this year to be in line with most of the other EBs
However, the range is VERY wide this year. From what I'm seeing, some of the other EBs also had the same range so maybe Laz copied that structure as well

Bump
Comp was lower this year compared to the other EBs. Junior bankers are not happy.
what was the range like for analysts? was it fairly consistent across groups?

Doesn't lazard pay at the lower end of EBs? have heard bonuses are comparable to BBs nowhere in line with other EBs
