No analyst makes over 150 first year anywhere.
You are misinformed lol

Lazard MM definetly doesn’t make 190. What MM firm pays over 150 MAX?
Whatever makes you feel better about your comp at Tobin.
My analyst makes close to 200k at a MM

Would this potentially coincide with their recent layoffs? Makes sense if they're raising comp. 85k base has been outmatched by other EBs for quite a while now
Heard rumor that after cutting underperformers they increased bonuses to be in line with other EBs
Can confirm they increased bonuses to match other EBs - top bucket I think was around ~170-180k. Even within top bucket there are usually bands so I'm guessing 190k was the highest band possible.
They have a top-top bucket that they only give to 2-3 analysts that is the highest band. This is also a practice they have for associates
55-95k bonus so essentially 155 min 195 max, sources from regional and NY offices.
Heard base is still 85, though, so looking at 140-180 all in
signing bonus tho lmao
.
did analysts get cut or not? I'm so confused about the magnitude of these cuts and if it was actually significant, across offices etc
There were cuts in asset management and middle market (esp Chicago). Also some changes in the Paris office with the departure of Pigasse. Have not heard about any cuts to regular IB in NY, and very minimal/normal fluctuations elsewhere.
mm and regular have different bonus buckets anyways, correct?
