Lazard ECM
I just saw a position open for an ECM Analyst at Lazard? I thought they got rid of their capital markets division years ago. Or are they trying to capitalize on the IPO hype rn? Just wondering but I know people on this website are going to blow a gasket for someone not knowing every waking detail about a bank they don’t work at. Cheers.

No, Laz didn't get rid of its "ecm" team. They don't do ECM in the BB term, they do Equity Advisory ie they provide independant advice (IPO advisory, running RFPs...) only and don't use their BS to place shares to investors.
Is anyone able to provide more colour on the equity advisory team - including more details on what they do? Who there clients are? Which groups they collaborate with? What is the client need?

Yes. I have 2 YOE though…didn’t think it was an analyst programme
Yeah I believe it’s a junior(ish) analyst programme (imagine they’re looking for AN1 or recently promoted AN2’s). They’d typically say “senior analyst” if they’re looking on LinkedIn for someone with a bit more experience. Good luck with the case study!
