Can you apply to both the previously opened ER SA and the Financial Advisory SA?

How bad must the situation be at Lazard for HR to have to resort to advertising on WSO?

They're going to get flooded by non-targets who ask insightful questions such as 'anyone got HV questions', 'how do I apply to grad programmes anyone please', or 'does this business sponsor sir'

That one guy with 9 spring internships converted his LAZ one...

Not sure what to feel about him. On one hand, great for him. On another hand, I feel the PR that's happening is a bit overblown. I don't know if I'm the only one who shares this view.

that guy is very well spoken which probably got him all of his offers. I guess thats what a private education buys you.

but it is clear he does not have an academic/technical aptitude - failed to meet grades for his oxford offer 2x, AAA after taking 3 years... Failing to convert his other springs Roths, MS etc. Ironically laz was the only one he did convert which says a lot about laz.

From what I know, not really. As long as you sound upbeat, smile, look at the camera and not read off notes for too long, you should be fine. It's just a replica of a real-life conversation so it's not really a big shift. You can look away for a second to regain composure if you wish.

Bro, it said I wasn't reliable and everything else was above-average when I took the test for the VC banking group a couple of months ago. And the same result is applied for FT. I'm cooked.

So I maxed out the "critical" and "socially bold" scores, above average for "innovative", "careful" and "reserved", below average for "ambitious" and 0 for "self-willed".

Ha, no way. I can see why LAZ are just idiotic: how recent is this personality assessment? MS, JPM and GS don't do it for a reason, clearly.

It's one for the ages, I haven't seen any tests as bad as this. Maxed out "innovative", and "ambitious", high score for "critical", slightly below average for all of the rest (except for "careful", which was very below average).

And I thought DB's SJT was the worst.

Hey guys. I applied like 3 weeks ago, and heard from someone on the inside that they are going to be starting with interviews soon, so I would give it a couple of days, maybe by next week you´ll get responses. I´m also in the same boat as y´all. Best of luck

Got rejected after the video, even though I put in a ton of prep. Tests were easy, and I was literally recording myself on my phone to practice. Honestly thought it went alright. Trying to figure out if I completely blew it or if my profile just isn’t stacking up.

I've got an MiF from ESSEC, 6 months of M&A at a no-name small-cap shop, and currently doing another 6 months in corporate M&A, not French.

Not trying to rant or anything, just trying to make sense of this.

Did you make an effort to connect with any of the analysts? This is crucial, and pretty much your only real chance to make it past HV / get foot in the door. They receive thousands of applicants with just as good if not better education and experience than you (not knocking you, just being realistic), so you have to have a way to differentiate yourself / flag your application. They also had an office insight event which is pivotal in the recruiting process.

Hey, thanks for getting back to me! Yeah, I gotta be realistic—tons of people out there with way better profiles than mine (tbh I'm kinda in the lower end of my class).

I didn’t network with Lazard specifically. The timing was too tight, and I heard networking doesn’t do much for London anyway (a few BB bankers mentioned that in our conversations). Still, I feel like I should be pushing harder on that front.

Haven't gotten a rejection yet (unfortunately my coursemate got a rejection this week). Hopefully, I still have a chance for AC... (anyone in the same boat?)
