Hey guys -
I am a first year and am going through the group selection process. I am torn between doing a coverage group and LevFin. At my BB, the coverage group is stronger but I feel that I am more interested in LevFin given that it is much more market focused/execution oriented in comparison to the coverage group. Plus the hours are way better which is a nice benefit as well.
However, I'm worried that by doing LevFin that my exit ops won't be as great as if I did coverage? I am not solely interested in PE but rather want to keep my options option and gain a broad skill set rather than becoming too focused early on. As of now, I think a HF seems more appealing than PE but that may change as I move along.
Any thoughts/comments/personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
