What do you mean by brand management? I'm assuming that is marketing. Although the F500 will give you a larger name it isn't related to IB at all. The LMM PE gig would be for IB. For MBB strategy consulting I would argue the Brand Management internship would be more useful since the position is more strategy/product related.
Yeah 50/50 marketing and overall business strategy (think working with everyday operationa for one of the brands at Unilever, Henkel, P&G, etc).
Came to a similar conclusion. But depending on tasks during PE Internship, can you not make it sound more strategic (I.e. working with a specific portolio company), and then that would be be suitable to MBB for instance.
I work for a PortCo of a LMM shop that operates on a sponsor model in a Tier 2 city. The summer intern ended up landing at GS in their PE group with that being their only internship and coming from a lower tier Ivy.
Thanks for the reply. Did he have any previous IBD experience prior to the PE Internship?
do the PE internship
