London IB internship and placement opportunities for an HK undergrad

My situation is pretty complicated. Seems like I'm gonna pursue my undergrad at the CUHK (Quantitative Finance and Risk Management). Although I do consider going into sales and trading or quant, I also want to know if this degree and my language/culture profile would let me be a competitive applicant in London. I am Russian, speak Russian, Kazakh, German, pretty knowledgeable of the Eastern European and Central Asian business environment. Renaissance Capital is what might have popped up in your mind, maybe I have a chance there.

Better recruit for Hong Kong. Haven’t seen anyone in London who came straight from HK undergrad. (Maybe possible if you do an exchange year in the U.K. and recruit during that)

Hi! I will be your classmate in this September :)
From the information I got, it's more easy to get a good master degree in a top UK schools (LSE, LBS, oxbridge) than top US schools for a HK top3(HKU, HKUST, CUHK) students, so if you want to get into London IB, it's better for you to get such a degree to strengthen your competitiveness and use the working visa which you will get after graduation to secure a ideal job.

I find that it needs 2 days for a new account to send private message (I just create this account since I am also really surprised to find someone who also choose qfrm at last!)

So just feel free to pm me!
