Bump; to specify looking for things that can help me improve over the coming 1 to 2 years to become a viable BB candidate given my current profile. Any insight would be more than welcome..

getting your gpa higher + getting work experience
Thanks for your comment. People with experience at a BB in London are welcome to add their insight as well. What helped you make the step to a BB? (assuming a less orthodox route than a top target with great GPA). I have realized that I will need to up my GPA and compensate my less than stellar bachelor results with work experience and am looking at opportunities.
Hoping to get some responses so this thread can also be of interest to other prospective ibankers trying to work their way up to the top names in the industry without the perfect background..
Thanks in advance
This has been covered extensively. Search it on WSO. A lot of your questions have already been answered. Stop being lazy and search it.
Thanks for the links you provided, I am familiar with M&I and 1 of the links you posted. I was hoping perhaps someone would add to the topic that has made this step in his career. It is not my intention to cluster the boards with irrelevant topics so I'm sorry if this is how you have perceived my posts.
Sorry if I came off a bit too harsh there. I didn't mean to. It just seems like a lot of these threads have answers already discussed on WSO. But the gist of your question is: can you move from a continental team to london. This is akin to moving from a satellite to NYC (atleast to me).
In which case...your best bet would be reaching out to former members of your group who have made the jump to network with them. Utilize LinkedIn as best as you can to find members at London offices who switched from continental offices. Maybe network at Nomura at your office a little bit so you can get other members of your team to bat for you going forward. In order to make sure you can get other members to bat for you, you need to be standout and be willing to crush it at your desk.
And lastly remember to network extensively. Alumni & cold email/call. Try to target people in the London offices of not only Nomura but other places as well. See if you can leverage getting a return offer with Nomura from your continental to the one in London.
Hope this was slightly more helpful!
Ey no biggie, I know a lot of new users come on here and ask familiar questions. Thanks for your posts they've been of great help and they've made me realize I've got tons to do... Thanks!
