Looking for SF Roommate

Just signed as an AN1 at an investment bank in FiDi (East Cut on maps, not sure which neighborhood names mean anything). Since I'm a lateral, I'm not sure there will be other analysts looking for roommates, and all my friends in the Bay live outside of walking distance. Looking for a roommate in their first few years out of college who's tryna save on rent/get a nicer place than they could w/o a roommate pretty much.

Room Prefs:

  • 2 Bed in 3.5k to 5k price range, flexible on either end
  • Looking at North Beach, South Beach, Nob Hill and Rincon Hill, but open to suggestions
  • 25 minute walking distance from East Cut max
  • Move-in end of September, flexible on either end

Personal:

  • 22 y/o
  • Originally from NYC area
  • UCLA Class of 2020
  • Living in LA until I move up

In the Bay Area? Easily, just do a search on Craigslist (CL).

I did a search in CL earlier to see if I was being a dumbass and found a 2br for $2,900 in Cow Hollow (basically Marina) and a 2br for $3.1k in North Beach. The only thing it is up for interpretation on what the term "decent" means. If you want a dishwasher AND in-unit laundry then $1.75k would be a low-mid range.

I've had two room mates and was paying $1.2k in 2019 so pre COVID prices in northern panhandle neighborhood which isn't premium but it's nice.
