Losing My Mind Over Background Check

Worked incredibly hard to secure FT 23 and with background check coming up soon, realized I possibly messed up, can’t stop thinking about it and losing my sleep, is it all over now, at the very end?


If anyone can please respond to their best of their knowledge, thank you.


1) did an unpaid, no offer letter internship for a FA (PWM) at WF/RBC/UBS type bank. He told me to just do a few months and he will write me a letter of recommendation. Firm calls in their HR, I never worked there? Am I fucked? He says to just put his number/email in and I am covered? But what if they call HR? 
 

2) I added some BS scholarships on a deep subsection that technically do not exist? Will they check if they are real? this is so retarded I do not know why I did that.


3) worked for a non profit 5 years ago, added it to my CV but realized I put 2019 and not 2017. It is in a foreign country, do they check?


4) I did audit for BIG4, initially got a return for another internship, came back and did not work hard because I had IB secured, so they did not extend a FT offer. Is this a problem? Because I still need a reference check from here?



5)Did 180 degrees consulting, but gave up after 2 months because hated the team. 
 

6) my credit score is 580, I used it to fund my school/expenses while unemployed hence the drop. Can they rescind?


do not have any misdemeanor, felonies etc.

1) Just put down his contact info and you'll probably be fine. They may reach out to the firm's HR but the FA can help explain the situation

2) To my knowledge, they probably won't check unless you made it a big part of your resume / it's mentioned in the background check form. If you claimed it is with the school you went to, then they might check. Take it off your resume for the future

3) You can explain that if it comes up. Pretty careless mistake tbh, did you do that to fill a gap of employment? If so that's a little sus, but most likely lot an issue

4) They will most likely confirm start/end dates. Don't think you need to worry

6) I don't think that's low enough to cause a concern for an employer. Work on raising it up though for your own sake

I also had a similar unpaid internship on my CV. Background check people called HR at the bank I had interned at who said I had never worked there. Nobody ever asked about it but I had given my Managers contact details in case of any questions
