You'll have to take the Path to the city I'm guessing, find out if the Path runs through Maplewood or the closest station, then I can tell you how long it would take you to get to Midtown.
Actually, the path stops at Newark and doesn't go further. I'll have to take a NJ train into Penn Station. Thanks for orienting me in the right direction.
Is Maplewood near Short Hills? Maplewood has to be in North Jersey and I know Short Hills is in North Jersey. I went to some party there (Short Hills) once at a guy in my frat's house (ridiculous town..full of mansions). Anyway, it was about an hour from NYC to Short Hills on the NJ train line.
