Maximizing Chances to Re-recruit FT

To give some context, I got interested in finance later than most people and am an incoming IB SA for 2025. The firm is ~top 20 on league tables but not super well known for its exits. I know it might be a long shot, but I'm considering re-recruiting full time for BBs/EBs after next summer, as the eventual goal is to end up on the buy side (shocker, I know). What are some things I can do now to maximize my chances? I'm planning to do some stock pitch competitions over the next year (have done well at 1-2 so far and really enjoy it) and see if I can do a buy side internship before next summer (maybe PE or a family office?). Apart from that, would really appreciate any advice.
