May 14 Prestige Rankings (I have never worked a day in finance)
Disclaimer: I have never worked a day in finance, nor have I been through the recruiting process. This is solely based on vibes of the people I know going where and collective knowledge from reading this site.
- PJT (RSSG only)
- Qatalyst
- Goldman Sachs
- Centerview
- Morgan Stanley
- Moelis
- JPM
- Lazard
- Evercore (criminally overrated)
- BofA
- Barclays
- William Blair
- LionTree
- Guggenheim
- Citi
One of the more accurate lists I've seen on here
Blair too high, Evercore too low, otherwise good list
Huge congrats on Blair
1st year spring interns:
Aspirations: Don Draper, Patrick Bateman, Harvey Spectre......
Reality: 14th May Prestige Ranking....
Can we please collectively decide to just throw our MS and leave? Please don’t comment on these posts as it just bumps them and makes them relevant.
im only commenting to spread the word
PJT is not #1. Not even Top 5. Sorry. These lists are for people who have no idea what they're talking about.
Try:
1. GS
2. Centerview (depends on group, HC very hot right now)
3. JPM
4. MS
5. Moelis (can be higher in some sectors . . . the top 5 here are w/o question though the order can vary)
6. Evercore
7. Qatalyst (Frank Quattrone is a legend, but very few people outside of Silicon Valley have ever heard of Qatalyst)
8. BofA
9. PWP
10. PJT
11. Greenhill
12. Barclays
13. Lazard (depends on group)
14. Citi
15. Guggenheim
Your Qatalyst point makes little sense. Anyone in the industry whose opinion matters at all has heard of Qatalyst. As for the people outside the industry, they probably haven’t heard of Centerview or PJT either. By that logic RBC or HSBC would be much more prestigious than any boutique.
if we’re going to hair split other banks based on which group is doing well, we have to expect that the audience that’s judging knows the absolute basics about the industry. Qatalyst is way too low
Greenhill 11… I almost spit out my drink
You sound like you just lateralled from Greenhill to Moelis
