MD wants to have lunch with me. What can I do beforehand so I dont look like a hardo?

Hello All,

I'm an incoming freshman at target, and this past week I played golf with a alum from my school that is a MD for a Top EB. Anyways we had a very good conversation while playing golf, and at the end of the convo I had briefly mentioned I want to pursue high finance/consulting, and he said he wants to have lunch with me and I can ask him anything. He scheduled it to next month since he has picked up a deal or something, but I really don't know what I can ask him.

My question: I see that there are many posts on what to ask during coffee chats, but in my situation (since I havent even stepped foot on campus) what are some appropriate questions I can ask that dont make me seem like a pure hardo, but seem inquisitive?

Also is there anything I should start reading that is helpful for technicals/market analysis/case competitions/stock pitches? Any Advice would be great

I would say you are early enough in your career that no one is going to ding you for asking basic questions.  If I were you I would buy a modeling course and go through it so you know some of the lingo that goes along with all the shop talk.  Other than that always ask if there is any one else that he thinks that would be worth while talking too,  So you can gain a broad range of different types of banks.
