Mental Math???
Have an interview this week with a BB for an Investment Banking Summer Analyst position. How common are mental math questions?

Career Resources
Less and less common especially at BBs (believe EBs/tech firms are more notorious for them). I wouldn't worry about them.
If they ask you something with numbers and you can't do it easily (ie calculating WACC or FCF with weird numbers) you are fine to say "Mind if I jot this down, I like to see the numbers" or similar. As long as you're not writing down extremely basic math most people will be fine with that answer
