MM SA -----> BB FT Possible?

I'm interning at a reputable MM with a good deal flow this summer. I'd like to end up at a BB for FT. How possible is this? Especially since it seems people are quitting. Is it the same process as it is for laterals or is their a separate FT out of undergrad pipeline. Obviously, networking is important. Any and all help is appreciated.

Very possible, but the number of spots and number of people looking varies greatly year to year. Basically once you get your offer, sit on it and immediately reach out to people you've talked to at the banks you're targeting. Explain that you received an offer, but are interested in their firm. Ask if they have any spots open. Some places will superday you, some places will just give you a few interviews.

Usually they're backfilling for no-offers or people who went to a different bank.
