MM to MM Lateral?

Does anyone think it would make sense/be worth it to lateral from a piper/hw in a tier 3 city (i.e. minneapolis, charlotte) to william blair chi? From the midwest so would enjoy being in chicago. Pretty sure I wanna go to mm pe but not 100% dead set on it, open to at least exploring the possibility of a2a. Are there more things I should be thinking about and would I be gaining anything enough to make it worth the hassle of switching banks?
