Moelis Houston Phenomenal Culture Real?

Got coffee with an Associate at Moelis HTX who said he though they had the best culture in Houston.

Skeptical cause heard of mass exit a couple years back and it’s obviously Moelis…

Curious if this is true?

Realistically if you get coffee with anyone they will tell you their bank has the best culture in town. I've seen analysts on the verge of a breakdown taking networking calls and talking about how great the culture and seniors are.

On Moelis specifically, they aren't exactly the busiest bank in Houston so perhaps that factors in. Their energy group is only about 10 years old, much less established than the other players.

Houston in general is extremely sweaty, from top BBs to the smallest MMs, and sharp elbows. If you want culture stay away from those groups entirely.
