Morgan Stanley London IB and non-targets

Do they ever take any non-targets for IBD recently? I love to imagine your performance in their assessment tests means your university should no longer matter as an extreme non-target

No body cares ab test scores my dear monkey, as long as you are above a particular benchmark on test.

getting 99.9th percentile wont get u an offer, if everything else is not up to scratch

School would be my only deficiency I guess (there are previous IB internships & european languages)

Some online university that's nominally in continental Europe—though no physical campus (distance learning)—hence name is meaningless

No. Unless you're diversity or female.

Sadly MS in London has HR wielding far too much power on hiring. Which is terrible as HR at MS London are just above clinically brain dead.

It can a good thing in this case—there are people who are more brilliant than the average student in Oxbridge but can't actually go to a prestigious school due to completely non-academic handicaps that diversity schemes make up for.

Gaining admission into a target but being too broke to actually pay the tuition fees or living expenses

For some 3rd world countries, the currency is extremely valueless compared to UK currency, as cost of living is literally 10% of what obtains in First world countries. An ER analyst in some of these countries would earn what would be equivalent to £1,500 a year (this is NOT a typo on my part!)—after currency conversion—these are some handicaps affecting majority of potential applicants from these places that tend to be invisible to the rest of the (developed) world. So, that's why what you call "rare" cases are the norm in those places

You seem to miss the point I am making. UK price & salary levels tend to be very comparable with many other developed nations (irrespective of currency). I was talking about something unique to 3rd world countries i.e. what costs £10 or €11 or $12 in some countries would cost £0.5 (adjusted for exchange rate) in certain 3rd world countries—which is why annual salaries of less than the equivalent of £1,500 (no typo) are quite normal for 90% of the population of such countries—that's what you were not aware of when you said "that's why people get work to earn money".

It is completely laughable that you assume 1) I am not from or have never been to a developing country, or even worse 2) am not aware of purchasing power and different costs of living in different countries.

You again fail to read the fact I qualified the statement with "assuming you are a UK citizen". Implying that none of the issues you keep bringing up are relevant or even contradictory to the statement I've made.

At no point in this entire thread have you ever stated that you are from or live in a developing country. You've just used it as a case study for why *some* people cannot afford to go to university in the UK. It is again, laughable that you believe this is purely an issue of developing countries and that again, I am not aware of this.

what an arrogant answer… just because you couldn’t get into a respectable university doesn’t mean that your worldview of others having ‘advantages’ to get into good unis is true or accurate
