Morgan Stanley MD claims he was fired because he was white so bank could replace with a black woman to fill diversity quotas

https://www.reuters.com/legal/litigation/ex-morga…

What do we think about this? When is this stuff going to end. Seriously considering pursuing a career at smaller shops if my career is going to be continually negatively affected by this stuff.

And for all the liberals who always spout "just be good and this won't be a problem!!!". This white guy was replaced by a black female who was obviously less qualified, purely to fill MD diversity quotas.

Yeah so even though Morgan Stanley literally say themselves that they have targets of the number of diverse people in MD positions and the majority of this forum has experienced anecdotes where worse diverse people got the nod over better non diverse people. You still have your head in the sand "oh we don't know for sure!"

You are taking a story that matches your narrative and claiming it as fact, how is that better? You clearly already have your mind made up, so what does this story even add?

I’m sticking to my point that you should see how this plays out. Rushing to judgment on cases like this isn’t a good idea. If it comes back that this is a disgruntled employee will it change your mind? It doesn’t sound like it, so why even argue?

I’ve been in the industry almost 20 years and  have never seen issues with the diversity initiatives I have been involved in.
