Moving to the 'Burbs from NYC

Hi all,

For some context, I just started in IB about 6 months ago and as of now I plan to be a career banker. I grew up in the Somerset Hills area (Far Hills/Bernardsville/Basking Ridge/Mendham) in NJ for anyone familiar, and always loved how peaceful and beautiful it is out there. Even though I'm currently enjoying the city, my ultimate goal in banking would be to move back out there, and I was just wondering at what point in my career progression this makes sense, given commute times, $$ needed to afford a house there (most nice ones are around $2-$4 million on the lower end), etc.
