MS Associate Lateral Interview and Process

I currently work at an EB and I was approached by an ED at MS who was impressed by my contributions on a live deal we were working on. He would like me to join his group. Was wondering if any one could shed some light on the interview process for associate laterals? Technicals? Modeling Test? Deal Experience?

Any advice or resources are helpful. Thanks!

Better in what way?

The people who shill EB > BB are mostly college kids that haven't yet worked in IB. There are plenty of reasons to go to a BB over an EB, especially at the associate level.

Not shilling - genuinely curious - comps higher at EB (factual) hours are up for debate (albeit group dependent)

There is a lot of value in a BB platform versus being at an EB, because the GS/MS name itself will bring in clients on its own. That's why you often find people struggle to get promoted at an EB to MD, while you see many MDs at EBs come from other BBs after they've built out clients.

Most of why people on this forum shill for EBs are for short-term reasons, i.e. they think it gets them better PE recruiting ops (dependent on what group at GS/MS or higher pay), this simply does not apply to OP seeing as he's an associate and interested in moving to another bank to continue his career.
