MSWM to MSIB?

I’m a current junior and recently accepted a spring internship with MS in one of their wealth management offices. I eventually want to land in IB and had an offer to join a boutique IB in the spring, but bc of some complications ended up taking the MS offer.

In terms of recruiting for FT in MS IB, would my work experience at the bank help with recruiting/networking? To note, I have an offer from the boutique to join as a summer analyst, but will probably look for MM options before accepting.
