Hey everyone. I felt the need to make this post because my girlfriend doesn’t stroke my ego enough.
I recently landed a summer analyst offer with a MM firm, and I feel on top of the world. My girlfriend doesn’t seem to be that psyched about my accomplishment. I really hope you're joking with that kind of language thinking you're the bees knees for an internship. You really have to understand her point of view. I can't speak directly to IB because, quite frankly I've never worked in the field, but what I can tell you is that I know plenty of bankers from ug and from SF and I can tell you that they oftentimes had some of, if not the worst relationships I've ever seen, simply because they work round the clock. If this is a deal breaker for her, you might need to reassess your relationship and see if it's really your best path forward
