Need help deciding PJT offer!
Recently received an offer from PJT NY in their M&A group. How is PJT reputation for M&A given they’re known for RSSG?
what’s the outlook on the firm? Also would love any info on total comp for AN1, perks, stipends, dinner allowances etc
thank you
Bro its pjt. Take it. They’re good.
Are you choosing between PJT M&A vs. something else? Either way its a really strong group. Can't speak specifically to comp but know that they have still have strong buyside placements and get deals done, so if you aren't choosing between somewhere else, can't go wrong with PJT M&A.
Bump
Take RSSG instead
My offer is for the M&A group not RSSG
"Need Help Deciding PJT Offer!"
What are your options then?
PJ Solomon is better
I wouldn't take it
Why not?
Would rather do RSSG
I wouldnt take it so I can have a shot
What are you comparing the offer to? If nothing else, obviously take it. PJT is a great firm, and their M&A practice is also respectable. Idk why this site has such a hard-on for their restructuring group. Any head hunter will know of them and you’ll get interviews if you’re competent.
I would really only turn this offer down if you have offers from like Centerview or Goldman.
Because most people on this forum are students/junior employees who care about prestige/exits. PJT RSSG has the best exits into MF PE and distressed credit.
OP hasn’t specified what exactly he needs help with deciding on. M&A is good, yes, but RSSG is better imo. If he only has an M&A offer, then what is the decision about?
unless you have a better offer this isn't really a question. take the offer, it's a good offer.
