Feels like a "pump and dump" post
I have looked into SPCE a little bit. It could be an interesting play if you are prepared for what is likely to be a bumpy ride.
Positives:
+ listed so we have an opportunity to invest early given stage of development
+ related to above view as option play (with ~6bn market cap)
+ Probably better positioned to do point-to-point sub-orbital flights
Negatives:
- More narrow niche market currently ($200k tickets to fly to the edge of space)
- Many misses if commercial deadlines. I don't think first commercial flight as occurred yet.
- Have had fatalities during testing. Suspect an event like this would be negatively received in a listed market context.
Kathy Wood has recently been talking about Genomics (ARKG is her ETF) as a driver of returns for ARK over the next 5 years. Specifically the combination of advancements in gene sequencing, AI and gene therapy are likely to lower costs significantly and open up "new products" that will become accessible to the average consumer.
