singularityI thought housing stipends were largely limited to HK and other foreign locations.
Nah, that's what they call signing bonuses for SAs...

ShortDo they assume people in OPS don't need somewhere to live? Nomura has a 3k stipend for their OPS interns.

Anyone sure that I will not be getting one.

there is a reason your salary has a 15k discount and you dont get a signing bonus. It means you are even more dispensable than the front office SAs. They dont have to pay as much to fight off the competitors to get you to sign the offer

Last year, Citi's initial offer for summer analysts included 2k for relocation, which is meant to cover (part of) housing as well. Later in the spring they upped it to 3k, which makes it look like your housing is all taken care of but in reality it is taxed a LOT.

Not 100% correct, he also doesn't work as much as those who get 15k more... if you calculate the hourly rate..I don't think its that much different if not even more... (but i think many would prefer to work more and get paid more ^ ^ )

you sure you don't have the $2000 relocation? I thought that was for every summer analyst.. I'm gonna work for Citi GTS Client Sales team~

Signs of Recession: Banker: “Where’s me Bonus?” Yuppie: “Whadya mean I have to actually work?” Fox Rock Mum: “Lidl’s the place to be seen in now!” Cowen: “It’s not my fault that me and my party are complete f**k-ups - it’s the recession silly!”

sorry man, but it seems like bo positions have changed some this last year in regards to pay. gluck at citi and just make sure you get an offer...youll still be able to afford everything so it shouldnt be a big deal.

Not sure about OPS but someone else posted that for 2010 they got 2,000 relocation for a summer analyst position with Citi....like someone earlier said, you are probably from a non-target school. Don't sweat it though, be happy you have a position, it's better than most prospective people right now.

there are plenty of kids who live with their parents in New York that will take your job who already have a place to live so they don't need to listen to you whine

Did Citi offered you any overtime?
