75K would be way above street so this has to be cap. If it’s actually true tho then idc what anyone says I’d rather take Nomura over my current job at Barclays

Greentech is the best performing group there. I know they have historically paid near top of the street before Nomura acquisition. Despite some conjectures that Nomura acquisition would hurt their TC, it seems that Greentech is still compensating their bankers really well.

Hey incoming intern here. What are the other groups except greentech that have good dealflows and can give analyst an edge when they try to lateral? And Can we get into Greentech if we do our internship on the Nomura side? Appreciate any insights.

Funniest

Did you just ask a Nomura employee what group is the best in order to leave Nomura?

Your internship starts in like 10 months. I would spend less time focusing on the groups that you would join so you can lateral away from Nomura and more time enjoying your life.  If your internship goes well, you will be joining as a full time analyst in like 2 years. Enjoy your life and stop worrying about the future so much.

Given that your internship does not start for another 10 months, and you would not join as a full time for another two years, it is really hard to answer your question. Nomura is a small bank in the US so with one or two good MD hires the groups could be completely different.

1) 75k mid seems in in-line with historical

2) My guess is that recipients of said bonus view this as commensurate with their output (factoring in avrg hours worked and $ all-in)

3) Lateraling in from non-NGT to NGT is tough

If you have aspirations about NGT it is far from a bed of roses. Attrition is high but you will get great transaction experience and at this point the alumni base is robust across top-tier MF/UMM strategies across sustainability/infrastructure if that is what you're looking for

How have bonus numbers been for Nomura Greentech this year? Have they come out yet? Are there any large bulge brackets that pay consistently better than the group?
